Back home in June
This is a continuation of my photos of the day from June. I am behind posting, but I'm proud to say that every day this year I've taking a photo, which is one of my Bucket List challenges.
On the Friday we came back from Scotland I took this lovely photo of one of the swallows that are nesting on our house.
On the Friday my Mum and Dad left to go on holiday to France, as I was looking after their house I took this photo of one of their cacti.
On the Saturday I couldn't resist taking this photo of my cat fast asleep on our bed.
This lovely clematis grows in between my montana clematis, every year it fights it's way past to flower in the sunshine.
On the Monday I was again at my Mum and Dad's when I saw this baby starling eating one of their fat balls. I didn't actually know what it was for a few days until my husband identified it.
The next day I left it late to take a photo, but then I saw this lovely sunset.
Finally this is another one of my dad's cacti. It's actually quite small, maybe 4 or 5 inches tall.

Scotland in June
During the second week of June my husband and I went on holiday to a caravan on the west coast of Scotland at Saltcoats. We stayed at the Park resorts caravan site as part of a deal through the Sun newspaper.
The holiday was from the Monday night until the Friday morning and we arrived just before 7. This picture of the sales caravans was taking just after 10pm when we left the site's club house
The next day we spent the morning relaxing, apart from a walk down to the sea. You have to cross a bridge which goes over the railway line to get to it, and this was the lovely view. Later in the day we went to the nice town of Kilmarnock, which we both enjoyed.
On the Wednesday we decided to visit Glasgow and the Kelvingrove museum. We never actually made it into Glasgow as we spent all our time looking at this great museum, and relaxing in the sunshine outside.
The Thursday was our final full day, and we spent it at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine, another place we enjoyed. After the museum we enjoyed a tea and some cake in their cafe next to the river.

Early June photos
On the first of June I was lucky enough to see this lovely little Blue Tit in my garden.
The next day I went down to Hull to visit my Grandad. This is the Humber Bridge, when built it was the longest single span suspension bridge in the world, now it's 7th. I guess time doesn't just fly for us.
This is my lovely clematis flowering, it took some help from my friend's on Bubblews to work out what it is.
My next photo of the day was of my green strawberries, It's took nearly a month for them to start to go red.
On the Friday I went to Morpeth with my Dad. I managed to get this lovely photo of a little duck family.
On the Saturday I shot this just after I finished work at 10pm, nearly light enough to see. I guess there are some advantages of living in the north.
Finally on the Sunday I went down to the river Blyth with my husband to see how his mooring is progressing. Here he is using his fishing rod to measure the depth for his poles. It's very deep.
Last week in May
On the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend, me and my husband went down to South Shields. We had been going to go to a car show but changed our mind. We were lucky enough to see this dfds ferry coming into the river Tyne though.
On the Monday I was down along the coast with my husband when we noticed this small boat returning from fishing. How do I know he's returning? By the seagulls following him :)
On the Tuesday I was at a loss as what to take a photo of, and I decided to take one of the many dandelions in my garden. As weeds go they are quite pretty.
On the Wednesday I had a voucher for a local garden centre. It was a loyalty one and needed using up. I decided to buy this chilli plant with it.
On the Thursday my husband caught this lobster in one of his pots, as you can see he was over the moon.
On the Friday me and my dad decided to go to nearby Cambois, it was a mistake we got caught in the rain and got absolutely drenched. We did have an umbrella with us, but it was back in the car.
On the Saturday there was a boat regatta down on our local river. I wandered along to have a look, but took a picture of the birds on the river instead.
During the week we had noticed a lot of activity from swallows, and on the Sunday we realised they were building a nest under our porch.

Another May week
On Sunday the 17th I decided to capture a photo of the lovely blossom on my apple tree. I am hoping for lots of apples this year.
On the Monday I'd gone through to Newcastle to look at a car with my husband. He didn't end up buying it but we got stuck in traffic on the A1 in roadworks on the way back. The A1 is one of the main roads going through the north east of England.
On the Tuesday as I was leaving work I noticed this lovely sunset and decided to get a photo.
On the Thursday I was waiting for my husband in our car, and as seems to be the case this spring and summer it was raining.
Finally on the Saturday I decided to take a photo of my tomatoes, still green but they are coming on nicely. I should hopefully get quite a few this year, although some sunshine would help them go red.

May week off
During the second week of May I had a week of work.
It was quite a busy week with lots to do, but I still enjoyed it.
It was quite a busy week with lots to do, but I still enjoyed it.
On the Monday my husband and me went to Blyth to see the harbour master about a mooring for my husband's boat. I'm pleased to say it's pretty much all sorted apart from paying the bill. It had been a bit of a stressful weekend so after we had a meal in the town's Wetherspoons. It was a nice meal in great surroundings, as it's in the town's old cinema, and they've done a lovely job with it.
On the Tuesday I caught up with some gardening. Gardening is something I enjoy even if I'm not that good at it. There's something satisfying about nurturing plants and watching them give you food back.
The Wednesday was taking over by my husband's hospital appointment. As he's having an operation to remove his nasal polyps, we're just waiting for a date. In the evening we went to the monthly car show at the Metro Centre in Gateshead. I say car show it's actually an impromptu get together every second Wednesday evening of the month. We only go in the summer months as you get some great classic cars showing up there, as well as American muscle cars and boy racer ones.
This little Fiat 500, was my favourite.
The Thursday was another day spent in the house catching up with jobs. The chicken is one which wanders out of it's home in the neighbours chicken coop to eat the seed which the birds drop from our feeder. We find the odd egg from her as well.
On the Friday, my dad and me went to Warkworth Castle, which is about half an hour from where I live in Northumberland. It's a ruin managed by English Heritage. We both really enjoyed it, and spent a few hours there happily exploring and taking photos.
Finally on the Saturday I was coming back from shopping with my husband and he stopped so I could take this photo. I quite like it as I think it's quite an English scene.
