Hungry birds, sparrows fighting over dinner

Yesterday one of my errands involved buying some more wild bird seed, as it turns out the sparrows are hungry, or greedy or both, and have quickly eaten all the seed I first bought :). At the same time I also bought them some fat balls from Home Bargains, and have attached one to my washing line. When we pulled up tonight after my husband collected me from work one little sparrow was happily pecking at it, while the rest fought over the seed :).

The video is an old one my husband made me when they were a bit more shy and i had only seen them once :).
