April's flew by, and my photo's of the day

Here I am behind with my blogging and photos again, I really do need to catch up but life keeps getting in the way. Now of course it's May and I've missed most of April.

I have still kept up with my bucket list challenge of taking a photo each day for a year though.

The 11 of April's photo is of a chaffinch which was down next to the River Wansbeck, it kindly hung around long enough for me to get a photo.

On the 12th of April I decided to have a play with my camera settings, and it was the turn of shutter speed. Shutter speed is great for freezing action, so for example you can see the water drops.

To take this I used a higher shutter speed setting of about 900 and then lightened the photo.

On the 13th of April I planted a rockery plant my dad had bought me. I love the little purple flowers, and hopefully it will do well.

The fourteenth's photo is of a lucky little hedge sparrow, it had been brought in the house by my cat. Luckily we managed to find it in time and to release it in the bushes, were it hopped off minus just a few feathers.
