This week, and the last two days of my holiday absolutely flew over. It feels like since I've been back I've never been away from work as I've had a few long shifts, all pretty much nights. I don't mind nights as I get a lye in, but it means I get less done.
Today I went to Blyth beach with my husband, we had some chips in the local cafe. The cafe is very popular around here so I was expecting a lot. If I'm honest they were nice, but I think the ones in Amble are nicer, although Blyth does have free parking.
After our chips we went down to the beach even though it was raining. I took a few photos before heading back to the car.
Today's photo of the day is of a pretty empty Blyth beach. In the distance you can see the mouth of the river Blyth. I also liked the little sailing boat in the distance.
Last Sunday me and my husband went to Tynemouth, which is Newcastle's seaside village, it gets it's name because it's on the mouth of the river Tyne. It was a lovely spring day, warm and sunny with just a slight wind, and Tynemouth was packed with people. I think everyone in the north east had had the same idea, it took us 10 minutes to find a parking place for our car. Then we walked along and realised that Tynemouth's only chip shop had a huge queue. So we got some cashback from one of the shops and went down to the fish quay. It's only a 10 minute drive from Tynemouth and looks out onto the river Tyne. It was busy there as well, but we managed to buy some chips. We sat on a bench to eat them, and fed some to the gulls and pigeons.
Sunday's photo of the day was Tynemouth beach, well the view from the cliff, it's a long way down to it.
Monday I spent getting jobs done ready for going back to work. I also visited my friend with the broken wrist. 9 weeks later and she can nearly make a fist, she's got a long way to go.
Monday's photo is of fluffy white clouds, I've downloaded the new Carrot Weather app, and it told me that's what the weather was and it was right.
Tuesday's photo after I finished work was of the view down to the River Wansbeck. I was surprosed and sad by how much rubbish is down there.
Wednesday's photo is of a Forsythia bush which grows across the lane from my house. It's a bush that always makes me think of easter, spring and my Grandad. Easter and spring as that's when it blooms, and my Grandad as he used to have one in his garden.
Thursday's photo is of my sleeping fur baby Termie, I nearly forgot to take a photo and she was there. She always looks so peaceful and innocent when she sleeps.
Friday's photo is of the view across to Ashington from my garden.
Yesterday it was very windy here, my Carrot app said 25 mph. I attempted to show it blowing the fir trees about, but it didn't come out great.
