Today is Mother's Day here in the UK, like many things we seem to do it on a different day to the rest of the world.
I'm lucky enough to still have my mum, and I've just been to see her. I gave her a box of chocolates and some home made drink. It was lovely to see her even if I do see her most weeks.
I think it's only as you get older that you really appreciate your mum, the sacrifices and the things they did to help make you the person you are today. I also think that as I've got older I've had more chance to get to know other people's mums, and it's made me realise how lucky I am for all the little things she's done and continues to do. I really do have a wonderful mum.
To all those mums out there I'd like to wish you a good day, whether your children are here, no longer her or have four legs :)
